Teamwork makes the Dream work
It is a passion to share what I have learnt as a Professional Actress, member of CAEA/ACTRA since 1981, and Registered Massage Therapist since 1991. It gives me great Joy to be of service to the Bow Valley, my community and home.
In the Bow Valley, there is a lot of focus on the athlete.... the team spirit is in the air. From hockey, football, gymnastics, bi athletes, soccer, skating, skiing and now the Arts. As an athlete trains his/her body and mind to achieve success and a high performance level so must the Creative/Thespian.
With skill developing exercises targeting the physical body,, breath work, the brains connection with articulation and expressing ideas clearly, we become balanced, confident and joyful. These life skills we take into our daily life.
“One of our Greatest Gifts is our IMAGINATION” Alfred Einstein
“Being in the Present Moment”, is achieved through Improvisation techniques. With practise, it can have profound results in our daily lives.
Theatre is the Study of the Human Condition. It cultivates compassion, courage, perception and an understanding of life’s drama. .
“All the World is a stage”, is an empowered perception. To be the Observer is to understand ones joy or suffering. They are key tools to have in life. It contributes to Mental Health and Wellness.
We can choose to be the hero or the villain of the story we write everyday in our lives. With mindfulness and observation we can choose the actions we want to take into our lives and live our MAGNIFICENCE.
Affirmations are a significant part of our program. Science has acknowledged the physiological affect Play, Affirmations and Laughter have on Health and Wellness. Please take a moment to view, in the Video Gallery, a project two students have done exploring that concept.
I hope this inspires you to “Come Play with Us in the Mountains”,
